Apple Tea Time Cake recipe - How to make Apple Tea Time Cake

Ingredients

1 1/2 apple , peeled and sliced lengthwise
50 gms butter
130 gms condensed milk
100 gms plain flour (maida)
50 gms curds (dahi)
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1/4 tsp lemon essence
castor sugar as required

For Decoration
apricot jam

Method
    Method
  1. Combine the butter and condensed milk in a bowl and whisk well.
  2. Add the plain flour, baking powder and baking soda and enough water and whisk well so that no lumps remain.
  3. Add the curds and mix well.
  4. Add the lemon zest and lemon essence and mix well.
  5. Pour this batter in greased loose bottomed 7" pie base.
  6. Arrange apple slices on top of it.
  7. Bake in pre-heated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes or till th cake is cooked.
  8. Remove the cake and sprinkle little castor sugar evenly on top of the apple slices and bake again for 5 to 8 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and the pie base and allow to cool.
  10. Brush apple slices with apricot jam.
  11. Cut into four pieces and serve warm with tea or coffee.

  1. Apply little lemon juice on apple slices, so that apple slices will not turn brown.

Hi Lopa I have earlier reviewed ur recipes and also saw ur reviewed I will try to post the other recipes also.i am regular watcher of rasoi show hence have many recipes with me.If u have some specific recipe then u can surely ask!Well the recipe posted by u is also interesting i will try out at home as i have just now bought an otg and my children have completed their exams so it is munching time for them.Can u put some children's recipes?
