  1. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till they turn light brown in colour.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
  3. Add the capsicum and tomatoes and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Add the spinach, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder and 2 tbsp water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Add the kala chana and salt and mix well.
  6. Add the rice, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.

one in all dish...apt for lunch as it a balanced one dish meal. rice, veggies and pulse all blend well in this recipe. ginger garlic paste further enhances flavour however i avoid it when i make for my daughter. taste great with chilled curds or cucumber raita...a must try!
