Chessy Green Burger recipe - How to make Chessy Green Burger

Ingredients


For The Patties
2 1/2 cups boiled hara chana (dried green peas)
1 cup chopped spinach (palak)
2 spring onions
4 cloves (laung / lavang) crushed garlic (lehsun)
1/4 cup plain flour (maida)
2 green chillies
salt and pepper to taste
3 tsp olive oil

Other Ingredients
4 burger buns
4 cheese slices
1 green tomato , sliced
1/2 cucumber , peeled and sliced
to be mixed into a spread
2 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/8 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder

Method
    Method
  1. Take 1 tsp. oil in a pan cook onion over medium flame until soft and translucent, then add garlic and green chilly and cook for another minute.
  2. Add the spinach and cook until the spinach is fully wilted. Add boiled green chana, salt and pepper and mix well. Remove from heat and bring to room temperature.
  3. In food processor, combine spinach and chana mixture and maida. Blend well.
  4. Shape mixture into 4 patties about 1/2 inches thick.
  5. In a nonstick pan, heat 2 tsp oil over medium-high heat. Add burgers and cook until browned.
  6. In small bowl, mix tahini, lemon juice, 2 tablespoons water, cumin and salt to taste. Set aside.
  7. Slice each burger bun into two. Grill in microwave on grill mode for 3 min.
  8. On lower half of bun apply tahini sauce and arrange cucumber and tomato slice over it. Place a piece of cutlet on vegetable and top it with a cheese slice. Cover with upper slice of the bun and serve.
