Ingredients

4 bread slices
nylon sev
oil to fry

Fro The Stuffing
2 boiled and mashed potatoes
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
3 tbsp masala peanuts , readily available
dabeli masala powder , readily available
2 tbsp khajur imli ki chutney
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tsp oil
salt to taste

To Be Blended Together Into Red Garlic Chutney
6-8 garlic clove
2 tbsp red chilli powder
salt to taste
2 tbsp water

To Be Mixed Together For The Batter
besan (bengal gram flour)
1 tbsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp hot oil
salt to taste

Method
For the stuffing

    For the stuffing
  1. Heat oil in a non stick kadai. Add garlic and sauté well.
  2. Add tomatoes, Dabeli Masala powder, haldi powder and cook stirring till tomatoes are soft-pulppy.
  3. Add rest of all ingredients, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool. Divide into two portion.

How to proceed

  1. Apply little –little garlic chutney on all bread slices.
  2. Spread one portion of the Stuffing on one bread slice and cover with the second bread slice.
  3. Repeat with the remaining two bread slices and stuffing. You will get two sandwiches.
  4. Heat oil to fry. Coat the stuffed bread slices (sandwich) with batter and slowly --carefully slide into hot oil.
  5. Deep fry till golden. Drain cut into 4 pieces each.
  6. Press the cut portion in nylon sev and serve hot with the garlic chutney and tomato ketchup.
