Method- In a deep pan, combine the tamarind water, tomatoes, garlic and turmeric powder, asafoetida, coriander leaves,salt and mix well and bring to boil on a slow flame.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and add mustard seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the curry leaves, red chillies and saute for 20 seconds.
- Add this to the boiling rasam and bring to boil.
- Remove from the flame.
- Serve hot.
