Green Rice recipe - How to make Green Rice

Ingredients


To Be Blended Into A Smooth Green Paste ( Without Using Any Water)
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania) stalks
2 tbsp chopped mint leaves (phudina)
1/2 tbsp roughly chopped green chillies
1 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
2 garlic (lehsun) cloves
1/4 cup coconut milk

Other Ingredients
1 1/2 cups basmati rice , soaked for 30 minutes and drained
1 tbsp oil
3 cloves (laung / lavang)
1 cinnamon (dalchini) stick
1 bay leaf (tejpatta)
4 black peppercorns (kalimirch)
2 tbsp cashewnuts (kaju) , broken into pieces
1/2 cup sliced onions
1 1/4 cups coconut milk
1/4 cup green peas
salt to taste

Method
    Method
  1. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, add the cloves, cinnamon, bayleaf, peppercorns and cashewnuts and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  2. Add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Add the prepared green paste and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  4. Add the coconut milk, green peas and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the rice and 1¼ cups of water, mix well and cover and cook on a medium flame for 15 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve hot.

It was delicious! I didn''t use mint or ginger and it was still delicious. The recipe works really well for instant pots too!

The flavour of coconut milk just brings out the thai flavour in it..The herbs like cilantro and mint also make it very green and delicious at the first look on your website..Thats why i had to try it out and it was veryy very delicious..
