Ingredients


For Palak Paneer Rice
1/4 cup chopped spinach (palak) , washed and drained
1/4 cup chopped paneer (cottage cheese) , preferably made with cow's
1/4 cup rice (chawal) , washed and drained
1/2 tsp ghee
a pinch of cumin seeds (jeera)
restricted quantity of salt

For Serving With Palak Paneer Rice
fresh curd (dahi) , preferably made with cow’s

Method

For palak paneer rice

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}palak paneer rice for babies and toddlers{/span}, heat the ghee in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the rice and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  3. Add the spinach, paneer, salt and 1 cup of water, mix well and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  4. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  5. Serve the {span class="bold1"}palak paneer rice for babies and toddlers{/span} lukewarm with fresh curds.
