Baby Potato Salad recipe - How to make Baby Potato Salad

1 cup boiled baby potatoes , peeled
2 tbsp chopped basil leaves
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1/4 cup paneer (cottage cheese) cube
1/4 cup cooked butterfly pasta
2 tbsp chopped canned pineapple
2 tbsp chopped spring onions

For The Tempering
2 tsp olive oil
2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)

To Be Mixed Together For The Dressing
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp sugar
salt and freshly ground black pepper powder to taste
a pinch of mustard (rai / sarson) powder

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the baby potatoes and saute for a while.
  3. Remove and cool.
  4. Add the paneer cubes in the same pan and saute for a while. Keep aside and cool.
  5. Combine the sauteed potatoes, paneer and all other ingredients in a bowl.
  6. Pour the above dressing over it and mix well.
  7. Refrigerate it for some time or serve it fresh as is.
  8. Garnish it with crisp caramel popcorn at the time of serving.
  9. Serve it with hot coffee.
