Brain Boosting Halwa recipe - How to make Brain Boosting Halwa

4 cups of poppy seeds (khus-khus) powder
4 cups almond powder
4 cups pure ghee
8 cups sugar
1/2 tbsp dried ginger (soonth) powder
1 tsp saffron (kesar) strands
1 tbsp chopped cashewnuts (kaju)
1 tbsp sliced almonds (badam)
2 cups cream
2 cups milk
2 tbsp rajgira flour

  1. Heat the ghee in a pan, add the poppy seeds powder, almond powder and saute for 60 minutes.
  2. Add the rajgira flour and roast all for 20 minutes.
  3. Add the cream, milk, mix well and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Add the dried ginger powder, saffron and all dry fruits and saute for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the sugar, mix well and cook for 20 minutes..
  6. Stir nicely for 10 minutes and serve hot halwa with hot saffron milk.
