Soak the breads, crumble them and cook them easily into mouthwatering Bread halwa. The milk, sugar and bread slices make for a lovely dessert recipe and is quite quick to prepare with simple handy ingredients. Garnish with chopped nuts.

Ingredients

4 to 6 slices of bread
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp ghee
sugar to taste
2 to 3 drops of food colour
cashewnuts (kaju)
raisins (kismis)
cardamoms (elaichi) (optional)
mixed nuts of your choice
Method


  1. Toast the bread in toaster to light brown or little crispy.
  2. Take the sides out(optional)
  3. Take it out n soak it in milk(little) keep it there for 3-5 mins.
  4. Now take soaked bread n make it into pieces.
  5. Take pan,add ghee heat it at medium flame.
  6. Add the soaked bread n cook it over medium heat,mixing it nicely making it like paste,crush crumbs if its there,add milk,cook for 5 mins.
  7. Add sugar to the taste n food colour.
  8. Take out n add nuts of ur choice..
  9. Serve hot or cold.
