Stuffed with finely chopped or grated broccoli, mashed cheese or paneer and spices, broccoli and cheese parantha simply melts in your mouth. Broccoli and cheese parantha is a nice way of sneaking vegetables by stuffing it in rotis or paranthas. Serve the paranthas with white butter or curd.

200 gms grated broccoli
1/2 carrot , grated
1/2 medium sized onion , finely chopped
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
5 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1 big potato , boiled and grated
1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera) powder
salt to taste

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough, without using any water.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of 6" diameter, using the flour for rolling.
  3. Heat a tava and cook each paratha, using little oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
  4. Serve hot.
