Corn Fusion recipe - How to make Corn Fusion

Ingredients


For The Outer Layer
150 gms boiled and grated potatoes
40 gms vanaspati ghee
60 gms plain flour (maida)
1/8 tsp baking powder
salt to taste

For The Stuffing
3 tsp oil
1 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
1 tsp chili paste
5-6 garlic clove
1 chopped onion
1/2 cup grated processed cheese
1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
grated paneer (cottage cheese)
1/2 cup boiled and crushed sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
salt to taste
1/2 chopped tomato
1/2 chopped capsicum
1 1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp chili powder

Method
For the Outer Layer

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl, mix well.
  2. Keep aside.

For the Stuffing

  1. Heat oil in non stick pan, add ginger paste, chili paste and crushed garlic, mix well and stir for a minute.
  2. Add chopped onion, stir till onion becomes pink, add salt, tomato, and mix well.
  3. Add garam masala, chili powder, and capsicum, sauté for a minute.
  4. Add corn and salt, mix well, and stir for a while.
  5. Switch off the gas, now add grated paneer, chopped coriander leaves and grated cheese, mix well.
  6. Transfer to bowl and allow to cool.

  1. Divide potato mixture into equal portions and keep aside
  2. Roll out each portion into a 75 mm. (3") diameter circle patting using your hands. Place 1½ to 2 tsp of the stuffing in the centre.
  3. Seal the edges properly and make round balls.
  4. Repeat with the remaining potato mixture and stuffing to make more balls.
  5. Put the balls in greased baking tray and bake in preheat oven at 200 degree celcius for 30 to 35 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and garnish with cooking cheese, again bake for 5 minutes or till cheese melts.
  7. Serve with soup or with mocktail
