The ragi pakoda is suitable as a evening snack with tea/chai and also as an appetizer to a formal meal. Best served with coconut chutney or mint chutney or simply ketchup.

Method
    Method
  1. Peel and mince the ginger.
  2. Coarsely chop the coriander and curry leaves.
  3. Mix the veggies and herbs – cabbage, capsicum, ginger, coriander and curry leaves – in a bowl.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients – ragi flour, besan, cashew pieces, sesame seeds, salt, and black pepper powder/chili powder – in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Heat the oil for frying.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons of this hot oil to the dry mix.
  7. Now add the vegetables to the dry ingredients and mix well. Add just enough water to form a dough.
  8. Make bite-sized ragi pakoda pieces and fry them in hot oil.
  9. Sprinkle with chaat masala before serving.
