For The Muffins
1 1/2 cups (300 gms) curds (dahi)
1 cup (200 gms) plain flour (maida)
1 cup (200 gms) sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
50g butter
1/2 cup chocolate chips

For Marzipan
500 gms icing sugar
250 gms almonds (badam) powdered
1 tsp almond essence
2 tbsp rose water
food colour (any 4)

  1. Hang the curd over night and allow for natural fermentation.
  2. Sieve the flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl.
  3. Whisk the butter and curd thoroughly, fold in the flour mixture and choco chips and gently mix it.
  4. Spoon the mixture into a greased muffin trays which have muffin paper cups inserted into the depressions.
  5. Bake the muffins in a preheated oven at 200 degree celsius for 25 minutes or till done by checking the muffins with a skewer. If the skewer comes out clean the muffin is done.
  6. When done remove from the oven. Cool on a rack.
  7. Remove the paper cups and replace with fresh paper cups.

  1. In a clean bowl mix all the ingredients and knead to a smooth and soft dough.
  2. Divide into four equal portion and add colour to each portion. Keep aside.
