Doodh Badami recipe - How to make Doodh Badami

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 3 to 4 servings


1/4 cup almonds (badam) , blanched and roughly chopped
4 cups milk
a pinch of cardamom (elaichi) powder
a pinch of nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
1 tbsp honey
1-2 leaves silver warq

  1. Heat milk in a thick-bottomed deep pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the flame add the almonds, mix well and simmer on a slow flame for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Add the cardamom powder and nutmeg powder, mix well and simmer for more 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from the flame add the honey and mix well.
  4. Serve warm in individual glasses, garnished with silver warq.
