1/2 cup ghee
1 cup powdered edible gum (gaund)
2 cups milk (approx.)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
2 tsp powdered mixed nuts

For The Garnish
2 tbsp almond (badam) slivers

  1. Heat ghee in a kadhai, add the gaund little by little and fry till fluffy and light brown in colour. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  2. In the same kadhai add the milk and allow to boil for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Add the fried gaund and cook till it becomes thick and light brown in colour.
  4. Add the sugar and cook, till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan,while stirring continuously.
  5. Add the cardamom powder and powdered mixed nuts and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot garnished with almond slivers and serve hot.
