Ingredients


1/2 cup boiled green peas
1 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1 to 2 green chillies
2 large garlic (lehsun) cloves
25 mm (1") piece of ginger (adrak)
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
salt to taste

    Main procedure
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and grind to a fine paste using approx. 2 tablespoons of water. Store refrigerated.

    How to Make Green Peas Chutney

    1. To make the green pea chutney recipe, put the green peas in a small mixer jar. Green peas frozen or fresh one’s can be used.
    2. Add the coriander, you can also use little stalks as well.
    3. Add the green chillies, this depends on how much spice you like it.
    4. Add the garlic cloves, you can also use garlic paste.
    5. Add the ginger.
    6. Add the lemon juice, this is added to retain the colour and also give little sourness.
    7. Add the sugar. You can omit this if you wish to.
    8. Add the salt.
    9. Add approx. ¼ cup of water.
    10. Blend till smooth. Our green Pea chutney recipe is ready.
    11. Remove in an air-tight container.
    12. Refrigerate and use as required to make recipes like: Potato Cheese Grilled Sandwich, Veg Toast Sandwich or Tomato and Cucumber Open Sandwich.
