Hare Matar ka Shorba recipe - How to make Hare Matar ka Shorba

  1. Heat 3 tbs of mustard oil in a pan.
  2. Add the cumin seeds, cardamoms ,bay leaves and saute for 1 minute.
  3. Add the onions and saute till the onion becomes transparent.
  4. Add the tomatoes, spring onions and cover and cook for 2-4 minutes.
  5. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder and chilli powder, dill leaves and cook the masalas till the oil leaves the pan.
  7. Add the crushed green peas to the pan and saute till the oil comes to the surface.
  8. Add the remaining whole green peas, salt and garam masala to the pan and saute it till everything gets mixed
  9. Add 3 cups of water to make the gravy.
  10. Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes.
  11. Serve piping hot with steamed rice or tawa roti.
