Lassi is one of the most delicious smoothie prepared with yoghurt flavoured with finest fruits and purest spices. It is considered as a traditional drink all over in India.
Here I have prepared lassi in a traditional style with a little twist.

Indian Lassi with A Little Twist recipe - How to make Indian Lassi with A Little Twist

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 2 glasses

4 cups curds (dahi)
1 cup jaggery (gur)
4 to 5 ice cubes or more if you want more chilled
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup paneer (cottage cheese)

For The Garnish
1/2 cup rabdi
1 tbsp grated coconut
chopped cashewnut (kaju)
a few finely chopped cherries

  1. Combine yoghurt, jaggery, cocoa powder and ice cubes in a mixer and blend for few seconds.
  2. Pour it into a deep bowl.
  3. Crumble the cottage cheese and to yoghurt mixture, mix well.
  4. Pour equal quantities into 2 individual tall glasses, top it with a tablespoon of rabdi, grated coconut, cashewnuts and cherries.
  5. Serve it.


  1. You can use homemade rabdi or you can buy from local sweet market.

Too high in calories.cheese,rabdi and curd combo of these three make this lassi too much rich.

   Dear you can take this drink occasionally or have it when your stomach doesn''t luv to have any solid food...!!! I am damm sure it will definitely play a good role during festive seasons when you are fasting... ?? So keep enjoying & also work out simultaneously.
