Indian pizza is a simple recipe for preparing homemade pizza base with flour, yeast and baking soda. The pizza dough is spread into a thick roti and then cooked on a hot gridle(no oven needed). The Indian pizza is topped with vegetables and cheese and served hot as snack.

2 pizza crusts
2 green chillies (to taste)
1/2 " ginger (adrak)
4 cloves garlic (lehsun)
1 can canned tomatoes or 3/4 cup blanched tomatoes
3/4 cup chopped onions
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
chilli powder (to taste)
For the topping.
You can put any vegetable that is in the house, but I like putting
2 large tomatoes, sliced
sliced pineapple
sliced mushrooms (khumbh)
sweet corn (makai ke dane)
1 capsicum, sliced
grated cheddar cheese


  1. Make a paste of chillies, ginger and garlic.
  2. Fry the onions in a little oil until golden brown.
  3. Put the paste of chillies,ginger and garlic. fry for a minute
  4. Put the tinned tomatoes, turmeric powder, corriander powder, chilli powder, salt and sugar and cook until it is it is spreadable consistency. for about 7-10 minutes
  5. Spread on the pizza base
  6. Top with the tomatoes, green pepper, mushroom, sweetcorn and then put the grated cheese on it.
  7. Put it in the oven for about 10 minutes (until the cheese is melted.)
  8. Hurray the pizza is ready .
