This is healthy but chatpati chat very popular in western uttar pradesh!
Method- Clean, wash and soak the moong dal in enough water for 30 minutes.
- Drain and pressure cook along with salt for 1 whistle.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid and keep aside.
- Clean, wash and soak the vatana in enough water for 5-6 hours.
- Drain, add water and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid and keep aside.
- Combine all the dry masalas in a bowl and mix well.
- Add the chutneys, lemon juice and ginger and mix well.
- Add the boiled moong dal and vatana and mix well.
- Add the onions and salt and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander and radish.
- Serve hot with kulcha, paratha or as a snack.
