These quick and easy to make dhoklas are best enjoyed as a breakfast dish or even a late afternoon snack. Black-eyed beans, also called cow peas or chawli beans are extremely rich in iron and folic acid. Both these nutrients are required in abundance, especially during the first trimester.

We make traditional white dhokla regularly, as my daughter always wants something new to satisfy her tastebuds I was browsing through healthy breakfast recipes and came across this Chowli Dhokla, I tried this and it was just awesome... I added lemon juice and a tbsp sugar to balance the methi leaves taste....My family just loved it and this recipe has become ap part of our fortnight breakfast menu..All tx to Tarla Dalal ji and her team.

I was little bit suspicious when I read 1 tbsp of fruit salt, but my dhoklas came out very nice. Excellent recipe.

dhokla made by using chawli methi and palak... a unique combination with a very palatable taste... these super soft dhoklas will disappear within seconds... so dont forget to soak extra chawli as a back up batch..
