5 tbsp heaped plain flour (maida)
1 tbsp flavoured custard powder
a pinch of baking soda
3 tbsp heaped icing sugar
3 tbsp pure ghee, chilled
1 1/2 tbsp milk
1 tsp mint essence


  1. Mix maida with custard powder,soda and 3 tblsp heaped icing sugar.
  2. Then add 3 tblsp chilled pure ghee(grate it if too hard).
  3. Rub in maida and ghee.
  4. Then add about 11/2 tblsp cold milk and 1 tsp mint essence to form a soft dough.
  5. Roll the dough to 1/6 th inch thickness ,shape and cut into rectangles or cut with a biscuit cutter.
  6. Bake in pre-heated oven on a greased oven tray at 170 degree centigrade for 15 mins.
  7. Cool and store and in an air-tight container.
