Mushroom nut bake is a baked savoury delicacy with the chopped mushrooms, celery, onions, and cheese topped with bread crumbs. The baked mushroom scan be enjoyed straight out of the oven or with a simple gravy made from while sauce and seasonings.

2 cups chopped mushrooms (khumbh)
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
2 pcs crumbled whole wheat bread
(and 1 more piece crumbled whole wheat bread for topping later)
4 eggs
3/4 cup processed cheese
10 shakes seasonings


  1. Mix wet and dry ingredients
  2. Pack into casserole
  3. Sprinkle crumbled bread on top.
  4. Cover to bake for 35 minutes.
  5. Uncover and bake for remaining 5 minutes.
  6. Serve with simple gravy:
  7. 1/4c olive oil (light)
  8. 5t pastry or white flour (heaping)
  9. Add water, milk/ tamari to taste/ to thickness
