Flavoured aptly with onions, coriander and green chillies, this roti tastes delicious if served hot right off the tava.

Nachni and Onion Roti recipe - How to make Nachni and Onion Roti

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 6 rotis

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough lukewarm water.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of 100 mm. (4”) diameter, using a little red millet flour for rolling. Prick at even distance with help of a fork.
  3. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook each roti, using a little oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both sides.
  4. Serve immediately.
