Ingredients


1 cup plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp soya flour
2 tbsp crushed walnuts (akhrot)
(roughly ground) 2 Tblspns
almonds (badam)
(roughly ground) 2 Tblspns
cashewnuts (kaju)
(rougly ground) 2 Tblspns
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 to 3 drops rose essence
1 pinch baking soda

Method

  1. Sieve maida, soya flour and baking soda
  2. Whip butter with sugar
  3. Add the flour spoon by spoon and mix well till paste is formed
  4. Add the nuts roughly ground
  5. Grease a baking tray
  6. Make small balls out of the paste and place in tray
  7. Bake in the oven for approx. 45 min or till golden brown.
  8. This is a nutritious cookie because it contains soya flour which children generally avoid because of its strong odour and also it contains dry fruits.
