Nutritive uncooked dahi vada is a vada recipe which is neither fried nor cooked. The bread slices are soaked and stuffed with a moong sprouts, pomegranate seeds and spices and then rolled up like a vada. These bread vadas are then topped with beaten curd(dahi) and imli chutney.

Ingredients


5 bread slices
1 tbsp sprouted moong (whole green gram)
1 tbsp pomogranate seeds (anardana)
1 tbsp mixed nuts
1 tbsp raisins (kismis)
salt to taste
freshly crushed black pepper to taste
sugar to taste
chopped ginger (adrak)

for serving
1 cup curds (dahi) (sieved trough a muslin cloth)
1 tbsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera) powder
Khajur Imli ki Chutney

Method

  1. Soak the bread pieces in water .
  2. Mix all the ingredients to make stuffing mixture.
  3. Put the soaked bread slice on palm and press it gently to drain out the water.
  4. Put some mixture on bread slice and fold it in a shape of vada. prepare these vadas with another bread slice.
  5. Arrange these vadas in a shallw dish.
  6. Sieve curd through muslin cloth. add milk+salt+sugar and mix it proparly.
  7. Pour it on vadas and garnish with bhoona jeera powder and coriander leaves.
