8 to 10 oranges
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp orange colour (optional)
2 tbsp orange squash
ice cream sticks

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a pan and stir over low heat till the sugar dissolves. Remove from the flame and keep aside to cool.
  2. Peel and deseed the oranges and purée the oranges by passing it through a sieve to a fine pulp.
  3. Combine the orange pulp, sugar syrup, orange squash and orange colour, mix well.
  4. Pour into plastic ice-cube tray, insert a wooden ice cream stick in each mould and freeze for 6 to 8 hours till firm.
