Milk is thickened with fresh bread crumbs to give you an instant rabdi. This is not the original recipe but one that's used to make a really creamy rabdi in a jiffy.

1 cup grated apple
3 cups milk
1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
1/4 cup condensed milk
1/8 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder

  1. Bring the milk to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pan.
  2. Add the bread crumbs and condensed milk, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  3. Remove from the flame and cool slightly.
  4. Add the apple and cinnamon powder and mix well.
  5. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours and serve chilled.
