Ingredients
1 cup semolina (rava)
1 cup ghee
1 1/2 cups sugar
10 cashewnuts
10 raisins (kismis)
1 tsp cardamoms powder
1 tsp orange food colour
Method
    Method
  1. Dry roast the semolina in a pan for a few seconds till it gets slightly heated. Keep aside.
  2. Heat 1/4 cup of ghee in a deep pan, add the cashew nuts and raisins and fry till they turn golden brown.
  3. Add
  4. Add the remaining ghee, semolina, mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add 3 cups of boiling water to the semolina and mix well, while stirring continuously.
  6. Add a pinch of orange food colour, mix well and cook till the mixture becomes thick.
  7. Lower the flame and cook for about 10 minutes, while stirring frequently to avoid lumps.
  8. Add the sugar, cardamom and mix well till it dissolves, while stirring for another 5-10 minutes to avoid lumps.
  9. Add the remaining ghee and mix well.
  10. Add half the cashews and raisins and mix well.
  11. Garnish it with remaining cashew nuts, raisins.
  12. Serve hot.
