Sprouted Green Gram Idli recipe - How to make Sprouted Green Gram Idli

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 24 idlis


1 cup sprouted whole moong (whole green gram)
2 tsp minced green chilies
2 tsp minced ginger (adrak)
6 to 7 cups idli batter
salt to taste
oil for greasing

  1. Steam the sprouts till soft,Add green chili, ginger and salt.
  2. Cool and add to the idli batter.
  3. Pour spoonfuls of the batter into greased idli moulds and steam for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Cool slightly and unmould the idlis.
  5. Serve hot with chutney of your choice or sambhar.
