Ingredients

3/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup vermicelli (sevaiyan) , broken into pieces
1 tbsp oil
2 tsp chopped garlic (lehsun)
2 tbsp finely chopped onions
1 tbsp tomato puree
3 cups vegetable stock
salt and to taste
1 tbsp fresh cream

Method
    Method
  1. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the garlic and onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till the onions turn translucent.
  2. Add the tomatoes and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the tomato purée and vegetable stock, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from the flame, allow to cool completely and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture back into the same pan, add the vermicelli, salt and pepper, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes or till the vermicelli is cooked, while stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the cream and mix well.
  7. Serve hot.
