Cheesy Corn Dosa recipe - How to make Cheesy Corn Dosa

3 tsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1 packet instant dosa mix
1/2 cup cauliflower florets
a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp red chilli powder
salt to taste
1 tbsp curds (dahi)
1 onion , finely chopped
1 tbsp sambhar masala
1 small capsicum , chopped
1/2 cup grated paneer (cottage cheese)
200 gm cheese
1 cup boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ka dana)
1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
oil for cooking

  1. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a small pan, add the mustard seeds and asafoetida and when the seeds crackle, pour this tempering over the dosa batter and mix well.
  2. Keep aside.
  3. In another pan, heat 1 tsp of oil and add the cauliflower, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt, mix well and cook on a slow flame, till the cauliflower are cooked and turns golden brown in colour.
  4. Add the curds, mix well and keep aside.
  5. In another pan, heat 1 tsp of oil, ad the onions and saute till the onions turn pink in colour.
  6. Add the capsicum, corn and paneer, mix well and saute for 3 minutes.
  7. Add the salt and sambhar masala, mix well and cook on a slow flame till the capsicum are cooked. Remove from the flame and keep aside.
  8. Add the cooked cauliflower mixture to this onion-paneer mixture and mix well. Keep aside.
  9. Heat a non-stick tava and grease it usin oil.
  10. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread evenly to make a thin dosa.
  11. When the dosa is cooked form one side, spread a portion of the prepared mixture and spread evenly.
  12. Add the cheese and chilli flakes and cook till the cheese melts.
  13. Repeat the same with the remaining ingredients to make more dosas.
  14. Serve hot.
