what is chocolate chip cookies made of?

  1. See the below image of list of ingredients for making chocolate chip cookies.

how to make the dough

  1. To make chocolate chip cookies recipe | Indian style chocolate chip cookies | choco chip cookies using eggs | in a deep bowl, add ½ cup soft butter. Soft butter blends more easily with other ingredients like eggs and vanilla extract, resulting in a smoother batter. A smooth batter bakes more evenly and contributes to the soft texture.
  2. Add ½ cup brown sugar. Brown sugar has a richer molasses flavor compared to granulated sugar. This molasses flavor adds depth and complexity to the cookies, making them taste more decadent and buttery.
  3. Add ½ cup castor sugar. Because the crystals are finer, caster sugar dissolves more easily than granulated sugar. This leads to a smoother and more even texture in the cookie dough and the final baked cookie.
  4. Mix well using a spatula.
  5. Add 1 egg. The egg acts as a binder, helping to hold the dry ingredients together with the wet ingredients. This creates a cohesive dough that can be shaped and holds its form during baking.
  6. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract. Vanilla extract adds a subtle vanilla flavor that complements the sweetness of the chocolate chips and the richness of the butter. It rounds out the overall flavor profile.
  7. Add 1/8 tsp baking soda
  8. Whisk well using a whisk.
  9. Sieve 1½ cups of plain flour (maida).
  10. Add a pinch of salt. A touch of salt enhances the flavor of all the ingredients.
  11. Mix well.
  12. Add ¾ cup chocolate chips. Chocolate chips add bursts of rich, chocolatey flavor throughout the cookie. As they bake, some chocolate melts and contributes to the overall flavor of the cookie dough.
  13. Add ½ cup roughly chopped walnuts (akhrot).
  14. Combine it well to form a dough. The crunch of the walnuts provides a nice contrast to the soft, chewy texture of the cookie.

Each oven is slightly different. You can bake them for 30 minutes and check for doneness. Ensure that the oven is pre-heated.

The recipe is excellent! Is it possible to freeze the dough prepared in this recipe? If yes, what would be the method to freeze and later on baking out of that dough?

Thank you for your feedback. You can keep the dough in the refrigerator (not deep freezer) for 4 to 5 days by wrapping in a cling wrap. Before making cookies, remove it and keep it at room temperature for about half an hour.

Lovely chocolate chip cookies. Spread the batter out as the cookies will expand while baking. Ration the amount you give your kids or you will have to bake another round of cookies.
