Ginger beer, a delectable, virgin (non-alcoholic) alternative to beer, the basic flavour of sweetened ginger and chilled soda dance magically together to provide an interesting twist to this drink, leaving behind a strong aftertaste of ginger. The connoisseur is sure to identify and enjoy the distinct flavour of cloves. Glass used: beer mug

Ginger Beer

I have been wanting to taste ginger beer ever since I was a child. All the Enid Blyton books described the children drinking ginger beer on hot afternoons! My daughter, who now reads Enid Blyton, also wanted to taste ginger beer. The ginger beer sold in cans at stores have lots of preservatives, so I have not bought these for her. I was happy to see the ginger beer recipe from Tarla Dalal! It was easy to follow, but I was rather disappointed that it has soda in it. I feel soda is not very healthy for kids. Is there any way fizz can be introduced in this without soda? Thanks for a recipe that was a hit both with my kids and their friends!
