Ingredients For The Paste3 tsp oil2 tsp poppy seeds (khus-khus)1 stick cinnamon (dalchini)1 clove (laung / lavang)2 peppercorns (kalimirch)2 tsp coriander (dhania) seeds2 whole dry red chillies , broken into pieces1 cup onion cubes1 tbsp chopped garlic (lehsun)3/4 cup freshly grated coconutOther Ingredients1/4 cup boiled green peas2 cups potatoes , peeled and cubed1/2 cup chopped tomatoes1 tbsp tomato puree salt to taste Method For the pasteFor the pastePut the oil in a small microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 20 seconds.Add the poppy seeds, cinnamon, clove, peppercorns, coriander seeds and red chillies, mix well and microwave on high for 30 seconds.Add the onions and garlic, mix well and microwave on high for 2 minutes.Add the coconut, mix well and microwave on high for 5 minutes, stirring once in between after 2½ minutes. Keep aside to cool.Blend in a mixer to a smooth paste, using 6 tbsp of water and keep aside.How to proceedHow to proceedCombine the green peas and ½ cup of water in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 3 minutes.
