1 1/2 cups plain flour (maida)
2 cups castor sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 cup oil
1 cup milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla essence
1 big bar of milk chocolate


  1. Beat sugar and oil together till creamy
  2. Beat the eggs lightly
  3. Sift the flour, cocoa,soda and baking pwd and mix together
  4. Fold in the flour-cocoa mix into the sugar-oil mix alternately adding the egg and milk
  5. Add salt and vanilla essense
  6. Microwave in a round pyrex baking dish uncovered for 12 mins on med-high.allow 3-4 mins standing time
  7. Top with grated milk chocolate when still hot.
  8. Best served with vanilla ice-cream
