1 cup waterchestnut (shingoda) flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chilli powder
oil for deep-frying

  1. Combine the flour, salt, chillies and mix well.
  2. Add water to make a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai and dip the potato slices in batter, and deep fry till they turn golden brown and crisp.
  4. Drain on an absorbent paper.
