Parsi custard is a sweet baked dish recipe with the milk mixed with almonds, sugar, condensed milk, crumbled bread and nutmeg powder. The chilled sweet parsi custard makes for an easy custard recipe and is enjoyed garnished with grated pistachios and flavoured with vanilla essence.

Ingredients

1 1/2 ltrs milk
1 tbsp sugar
1 tin of condensed milk
1 bread slice [crumbled]
1 1/2 cups powdered almonds (badam)
1 1/2 cups powdered pistachios
1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
6 eggs
1 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg (jaiphal) powder

Method


  1. Boil the milk with sugar, until it is reduced .
  2. Cool it and add milk, nuts, crumbled bread and nutmeg powder and cardamom powder.
  3. Milk the eggs and add essence.
  4. Mix both mixture .
  5. Pour into a baking dish and bake untilit turns golden brown .
  6. Cut it into pieces and serve chilled
