Chinese dessert recipes. It is wonderful to end a meal with a sweet-something! It is no different in the case of Chinese cuisine, which has an amazing collection of desserts like Toffee Apples, Date and Sesame Wontons which can be served with ice-cream as well.

Wontons are popular Chinese dumplings that are stuffed and either fried or steamed. Date and Sesame Wontons with a nutty date mixture is an innovative dessert. Coat them in powdered sugar and eat them hot! You can make a caramel with sesame seeds and toss batter fried apples in it. The contrast in textures in Toffee Apples is a wonderful experience that you will thoroughly enjoy.

Dessert from the streets of China

Goreng Pisang (Fried Bananas) is a very popular snack in Asian cuisine. Batter-coated ripe bananas are deep-fried till crisp, topped with ice-cream and served with a sprinkling of brown sugar or honey. Walk in the streets of china and you can catch glimpses of people buying these fritters off hawkers and relishing them.

China Garden serves this dessert

Another popular Chinese dessert from the China Garden restuarant in Mumbai  is Honey Noodles with Vanilla Ice Cream, the combination of deep-fried crunchy noodles tossed in a sweet honey sesame sauce is a delight.

Coconut Rolls is another authentic Chinese dessert made by stuffing succulent pancakes with a sweet and aromatic coconut filling, sealed and deep-fried till crisp.

Honey noodles with ice-cream, ‘darsaan’ as this dish is popularly known is a creative, fun sweet dish that makes up for the lack of a wide variety in chinese desserts. Fried noodles are tossed honey and sesame seeds and relished with ice cream or sometimes with fresh fruit puree – try mango puree during summers. It is crunchy, sweet and extremely comforting. Try this one if you have very little time, and still want to whip up an amazing dessert. Serve it immediately, you definitely won’t be disappointed!
Round up your meal with this lip-smacking dessert. Crispy fried noodles drizzled with honey is a hot and cold combination when served with a nice dollop of vanilla ice-cream. Even your kids will love the noodles. Traditionally this dish is called "darsaan".
A delightfully innovative dessert of wonton wrappers filled with a nutty date mixture. This is one of my favourite chinese desserts and i will not skip that mandatory scoop of ice-cream.
