Vegetable Florentine ( Microwave Recipe ) recipe - How to make Vegetable Florentine ( Microwave Recipe ) Tags Italian Veg Pasta Preparation Time: 17 mins   Cooking Time: 27 mins   Total Time: 44 mins     4Makes 4 servings Show me for servings Ingredients For The Spinach Layer3 cups chopped spinach (palak)1 tbsp butter1/2 cup chopped onions2 tsp plain flour (maida) , optional2 tbsp finely chopped green chillies2 tbsp fresh cream salt and freshly ground black pepper powder to tasteFor The Vegetable Layer2 cups chopped mixed vegetables (french beans , carrots and cup green peas)1 1/2 cups white sauceFor The Topping1 tbsp mozzarella cheese , grated1 tbsp processed cheese , grated salt and pepper to taste Method For the spinach layerFor the spinach layerPlace the spinach in a microwave safe plate and microwave on high for 1 minute. Cool slightly.Blend the spinach in a blender to a smooth purée and keep aside.Put the butter in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 40 seconds. Add the onions, flour and green chillies, mix well and microwave on high for 3 minutes, stirring once in between after 1½ minutes.Add the spinach, cream, salt and pepper, mix well and microwave on high for 4 minutes, stirring once in between after 2 minutes.
