2 1/4 cups unsalted roasted peanuts , peeled
1 tbsp organic coconut oil
1/8 tsp sea salt (khada namak)

  1. To make homemade peanut butter, in a broad pan, dry roast almonds on a slow flame for 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  2. Transfer it into a big plate and allow it to cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, transfer 1/4 cup of roasted peanuts in the mortar pestle and coarsely crush them.
  4. Transfer the remaining 2 cups of roasted peanuts in a mixer jar, add coconut oil and sea salt to taste.
  5. Blend to a smooth paste. Transfer into a bowl and add the coarsely crushed peanuts. Mix well.
  6. Store in an air tight bottle at room temperature for 15 days.
  7. Use homemade peanut butter as required.

   Ahmad, we have used 4 coconut oil to 2 cups of unsalted peanuts. The coconut oil is super healthy so use it. We make this peanut butter every week as it''s so healthy.

   The taste of coconut oil is not strong in the peanut butter. If you want a switch, otherwise use olive oil. Remember this is a super healthy recipe made with the best oils. You could also use peanut oil but i have not tried that. You have nothing to loose trying the recipe with coconut oil as it is really cheap and healthy to make it home.
