Bajra Sattu recipe - How to make Bajra Sattu

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Makes 4 ladoos

Ingredients

2 cups bajra (black millet) flour
4 tbsp ghee
1 cup finely grated jaggery (gur) (or according to sweetness)
1/2 tsp green cardamom (elaichi) powder
1 cup freshly grated coconut
1 tbsp sesame seeds (til) dry and roasted
2 tbsp poppy seeds (khus-khus) dry and roasted
1 tbsp melon seeds (charmagaz)
a pinch salt

Method
    Method
  1. Dry roast the bajra flour on low flame till well roasted n the raw smell is gone (5 minutes).
  2. Let it to cool completely.
  3. Mix in the cardamom powder, grated jaggery, grated fresh coconut, roasted sesame seeds, poppy seeds n pinch of salt and ghee.
  4. Mix in well with hand (try to knead).
  5. Lastly mix in the melon seeds n shape into laddoos,we call this sattu.
  6. Enjoy it in the morning with breakfast or evening tea or anytime of the day.
