Ingredients


For The Stuffing
150 gms chana dal (split bengal gram)
1 cup soya granules
1 tso chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tbsp oil

To Be Mixed and Kneaded Into A Soft Dough
2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
salt to taste
water as required

ghee for greasing

Method
For the stuffing

  1. Wash and soak chana dal for 2 hours. Cook the dal for 1 whistle.
  2. Take the soya chunks in a big bowl and add about 1 litre of hot water along with 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Boil the chunks for about 10 mins.
  3. Now in a mixer add the soaked chana and soya chunks and grind it.
  4. In a kadhai/pan heat oil, add the grounded mixture and on a low flame, saute for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the spices and mix well and cook for another 2 minutes. Add coriander and mix well, keep aside.

  1. Now divide the dough into 6-8 parts.
  2. Divide the stuffing into 6-8 portions as well.
  3. Flat the dough a little and put the stuffing in it and close and seal the edges.
  4. Dust some flour and roll out into chapati.
  5. Heat a tawa and cook paratha until done on both sides with ghee.
  6. Serve hot.
