Chas or chaas is basically a spicy buttermilk recipe with a delectable tinge of tanginess and spiciness weaved in together. Chaas is best relished chilled with mint sprigs as garnish on a hot summer day.

1 cup curds (dahi)
4 glasses of water
3 green chillies
1/2 " piece of ginger (adrak)
2 tsp coriander (dhania) leaves
salt to taste
Method
- Take curd in a vessel.
- Add the water and salt.
- Mix the same with the help of beater.
- Add crushed ginger, chillies and coriander leaves.
- Mix well.
- Strain it in a tea strainer.
- Keep it in the fridge and serve chilled after lunch.
