Can be served individually or with a spicy green chilli chutney .
kids will love them and so will adults .
Dahi wali tikkiyaan recipe - How to make Dahi wali tikkiyaan
Cooking Time: Total Time:
2 cups cooked rice ;
1 cup hung curd ;
2 tsp cornflour or arrowroot flour ;
salt to taste ;
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves .
for tempering :
1 tsp mustard seeds ;
1 tsp green chilli chopped ;
few curry leaves ;
1 tbsp oil .
Method
- In a bowl take the cooked rice and fold in the hung curd . dont mash the rice . let them be intact . mix in the cornflour .
- Mix all the ingredients just before making tikkiyaan , and not in advance as it may shed water .
- Then ian a pan take some oil , add mustard seeds, curry leaves , green chillies and then pour this tempering over the rice dough .add lots of chopped coriander leaves.
- Now make small tikkiyaan and roast them on a tawa with little oil .
- Serve hot .
