Drop Scones recipe - How to make Drop Scones

Makes 15 to 20 scones.
115 gms plain flour (maida)
1 tsp levelled, baking powder
1 egg
2 tsp ghee
2 tsp sugar
4 to 5 tbsp milk (approx.)
a pinch of salt
jam to serve
ghee for deep frying
Method
- Method
- Sieve the flour with the baking powder and salt.
- Add the milk, egg, ghee and sugar and make a thick batter.
- Put a spoonful of the mixture in a shallow frying pan. Add a little ghee and deep fry on both sides to make a beautifully puffed scone. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Serve hot with jam.
