  2. Microwave at 180 wats for 40 seconds. Then check to see if your dark chocolate will melt easily by using a spoon pushing downwards. We microwaved for another 10 seconds for a total of 50 seconds.
  3. Remove dark chocolate from the microwave.
  4. Use a spoon to mix the melted chocolate. Just a little mixing and the chocolate melts easily.
  5. Cool the dark chocolate slightly.
  6. Pour it in a piping bag and make a small hole at the tip using a scissor.
  7. Taking a baking aluminium tray.
  8. Cover the tray with parchment paper as we will be piping dark chocolate on it.
  9. Now, pipe out small chocolate droplets over it at regular intervals, till all the chocolate is over.
  10. Once piped put the chocolate in the fridge for 60 minutes.
  11. Scrape it carefully using a butter knife. The dark chocolate should come off easily. Put in a plastic box. 
  12. Use immediately or store in the freezer for 30 days.

Do these stay soft after baking or do they harden?

   They are like chocolate chips available in the market - hard but not soft enough to melt. However you need to store them in the refrigerator.

   Hi Mayanka, Yes, you can use chocolate compound but, it will be slightly sweet compared to the one made with dark chocolate.

Wow.. now chocolate chips can be made at home.. At times chocolate chips is not available in the market.. now i have made this recipe.. twice the quantity.. and stored it for future use.. Thank you for posting this recipe..
