Milk vada is a novel recipe of creating savory crispy balls(vadas) from raw rice and urad dal miixed with milk and spices. Enjoy delicious milk vada with spicy tomato chutney or green coriander chutney as a healthy evening snack.

4 cups raw rice (chawal)
3 cups urad dal (split black lentils)
1 ltr milk
sugar to taste
100 gms oil for deep frying with 100 gms ghee (optional)
a pinch of cardamom (elaichi) powder
salt to taste
Method
- Soak the rice & dal and make a thick paste like vada batter, along with salt.
- Take a teaspoon of the batter & deep fry them in medium flame until golden brown,
- Take out the vada & squeeze excess oil. allow milk to simmer until reduced to half, then add cardamom & sugar in it.
