Makes 4 servings
1/2 cup rice (chawal)
1/2 cup broken green moong dal (split green gram) , de-skinned
1/2 cup sugar
15 gms cashewnuts (kaju)
15 raisins (kismis)
15 cardamoms , powdered
1/2 cup ghee
1/2 cup milk
Method
- Method
- Roast rice and moong dal in a kadhai for 5 minutes.
- Pressure cook with 2 cups of water for 2 whistles.
- Add the sugar, milk and saute while stirring continuously.
- Add the raisins and cashewnuts and mix well.
- Add the powdered cardamom and cook till the mixture becomes thick.
- Cool and serve.
